Week Three: A Man of few words.....

Hey, won’t be able to say anything extensive today leaving tomorrow to the mission field so I’ll talk to you next week.

Random side note I gained 12-14 pounds in the MTC but it’s all muscle right? :P

Week Two: Pretty much a professional at the MTC now.

Tuesday 21, 2011

Everything is going good! I blanked first day proselyting through could not talk for the life of me.

I have been doing fine, just trying to learn how to study better and such.

I have been to the temple two times now but I love our Vancouver temple more.

Everyone went on a church history tour of the Preston area this week. We saw the buildings where the first missionaries stayed, some baptismal sites, and where Gordon B. Hinckley stayed on his mission.

Did you know that elder walker is the MTC president here, and that Sister Walker is Gordon B. Hinckley's daughter? So that's neat.

Elder Ensing is going to the Birmingham Mission, and we have been getting along he is the complete opposite of me though haha. Kinda a goof.

A spiritual experience I had this week is I bawled my eyes out watching Joseph Smith "Prophet of the restoration", so ya, it hit me good.

My days are pretty normal when it comes to sleep and waking up, I exercise every morning so I haven't put on much weight. Only 8lbs but you know that's pure muscle ;)

My teachers are amazing I love them both; Sister Smith and Brother Rojas. We pretty much got the best teachers around.

We had Elder Kerr of the 70 come over for a devotional. He was pretty cool. Other than that we have just watched videos of others.

There have been two days of pure blue sky since I've been here :)

Love all of you back there so much and wish you the best!

Week One: First week at the MTC!

Hello!

I didn't give away a pass along card on the trip over but the Sister that I traveled with talked with a guy. I was sitting in front and had an extra book of Mormon so I gave it to her to give to him and a mormon.org card.

On the flight from Toronto to London I flew with a Sister and an Elder... their names escape me at the moment. From London to Manchester we picked up an Elder from Australia and Elder Epple, who is one of my room mates, he is from Africa. And yes the flight went very well :)

It's weird being in England. I haven't been around much but there is a lot of cloud cover, I only saw bits and pieces of sky today.

I didn't have bad jet lag at all really...

My first companions name is Elder Ensing, he is from New Zealand and is a really cool guy, hilarious, and loves to sing and long board and is kinda self destructive before he came on his mission. Wheelies at 120mph and such... ya lol

The MTC in Preston England is a full new group of Elders and Sisters and it's always a full new group coming in right after the old group leaves. I enjoy it a lot but have been getting progressively sleepier at studies and such lately. I'll take some pictures of the awesome pond out side. :D

We get to teach teachers who act like an investigator that they converted when they were missionaries. It's really fun but I have felt that I haven't been preparing well enough, but it's going well.

LOVE YOU LOTS, I am really happy over here and doing great so don't worry about me a bit. Let me know if anything exciting happens ;)
